We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on the local highway for a few hours, and found it easy to drive and comfortable to drive long distances. The EV9 is able to suppress wind and road noise while on the highway. It rides smoothly over ruts and humps. The car's acceleration is surprisingly fast, and it comes with adjustable regenerative brakes that permit “one-pedal driving” simply by releasing the accelerator. The EV9 has a great range and can be fully charged in about three hours at home or using any commercial charger. Drivers can select between two operating modes: eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode focuses on torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both are a lot of fun to drive and provide an experience unlike any other for anyone that has never driven an electric vehicle before. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demand of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA conforming.
